Pepsi Refresh Project

Earlier this afternoon I received an email from my best friend asking me to go to this website and vote to fund less toxic cancer therapies for children.  As I’ve previously mentioned, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and I clearly was interested in learning more.  Turns out that Pepsi is giving away $250,000 to the top 2 vote getting causes.  How can you NOT vote for a better way to treat cancer?

I was out and about when the email arrived and when I got to my friend Ted’s place (I didn’t even know the guy prior to tonight, but now I consider him a friend) and checked my email I had a virtually IDENTICAL e-mail from my step-mom asking me to vote for the very same cause, but on behalf of someone else.  I figured if I got the same email, twice in one day, to help 2 different children with cancer that I needed to share it with all of you!

The cause is currently in 4th place.  I ask that you all take a moment, click HERE to vote, then copy and paste the URL and send it to EVERYONE that you know!  If you saw my twitter feed earlier, you saw that someone challenged me regarding the power of social media and it’s ability to make a difference.  I can think of no better way to prove that EVERY vote matters and that we CAN make a difference than propelling this cause to the top!!!
