11 Must See & FREE Things In Las Vegas!

Contrary to popular belief there are a LOT of things that you can see and do in Las Vegas for little or no money.  Below are a few of my favorite FREE things to see and do.  I’m sure that I’m missing some others, but even after 9 trips to Vegas I haven’t seen the entire Strip, so please leave your suggestions in the comments!

Day 16 – Las Vegas, NV

I apologize for the delay in getting this post up; the past few days have been completely non-stop and tonight’s (Sunday the 26th) overnight at JFK is affording me the perfect opportunity to get caught up!

I spent most of Wednesday walking around the Las Vegas strip after arriving late on Tuesday night.  I’m not sure what else once can say about Las Vegas other than the fact Vegas is Vegas and I don’t think it’ll ever change.

That being said, it was my 9th trip to Vegas and I’ve NEVER seen things as empty, quiet, slow, etc… Continue reading

Last Half Help Needed!

There are only 15 days left on the 29 Days Until 29 journey and I need your help in some locations and, more importantly, you help to keep the momentum building!

* I’m heading to Portland, ME late on Sunday night and have had no luck w/ CouchSurfing.org as of yet – does anyone have a contact there that can help me out?

* For the last 6 days of the trip, October 2nd – 6th, I want YOU to pick where I go!!!  As of now I’m scheduled to be in New Orleans the 2nd and then work my way towards San Juan, Puerto Rico on the 3rd until I head home on the 6th, but I think that those days can be used in a more productive way!  Where should I go?  Should I go back to someplace I’ve already visited?  Someplace new?  Please help me make the most of the last 5 days of my All You Can Jet pass!

* We’ve built an awesome team over the past month and I thank each and every one of you for reading the blog, sharing it with your friends and family, and making new, positive connections!  I KNOW that we can build the team even more in the last 2 weeks!  Will you help us achieve that goal by sharing the website and the 29 Days Until 29 mission with your family and friends?  I want to hear more stories from more people, and if we can get the word out to even more people we can make more positive connections!!!

Thanks again and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on where I should go and welcoming new people to our team!

Day 15 – San Francisco, CA

The half-way mark is here!  WOW!  I can’t believe that the 29 Days Until 29 journey has come this far!  2 weeks ago a month long journey seemed like forever, now it seems like it’s going to end too soon!  My body finally caught up with me yesterday morning and demanded some sleep.  My buddy Tim from Charlottesville had reached out to his friend Ted who he went to school with and currently lives in San Francisco.  Tim and Ted both went to Virginia Tech.  It was an exercise in personal growth to agree to meet Ted.  I kid, I kid – between Greg Slater, Tim, & Ted, I’m starting to like some Hokies!
